Wild Encounter: Animal Ambassador

Meet some of the Animal Ambassadors who live in the Education Department. You may even have the opportunity to touch a few! Learn about our Animal Ambassador program, how we care for a variety of species at Sedgwick County Zoo, and ways in which the Zoo contributes conservation in the wild!

Each Wild Encounter lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Zoo admission or membership ID is required. Admission to the Zoo is not included in the price of the Wild Encounter ticket. All Wild Encounter participants must be 5 years old or older. All children 12 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult. All guests over the age of five who plan to participate in the Wild Encounter must have a ticket for the encounter. The maximum capacity for the Animal Ambassador Wild Encounter is four guests. Groups are not guaranteed a private Wild Encounter unless they purchase all four tickets.

Sedgwick County Zoo reserves the right reschedule any Wild Encounter for any reason such as weather or concerns regarding Animal Welfare. In these cases, Sedgwick County Zoo will contact you to reschedule.

Terms and Conditions: Each person over the age of five years who attends a Wild Encounter must have a ticket. All Wild Encounter participants must be 5 years old or older. Space is limited. Tickets will be scanned at the Wild Encounter. Wild Encounters take place rain or shine. All sales are final. Tickets may not be copied or resold and each ticket may be used only once. No cancellations or refunds. Tickets will not be replaced if lost, stolen or unused.

Any additions to a reservation must be made a minimum of one hour in advance and are subject to availability. Wild Encounters may be rescheduled if the Sedgwick County Zoo is notified more than 48 hours in advance. Sedgwick County Zoo reserves the right reschedule any Wild Encounter for any reason such as weather or concerns regarding Animal Welfare. In these cases, Sedgwick County Zoo will contact you to reschedule.
